Teachable moment is “an unplanned opportunity that arises in the classroom where a teacher has an ideal chance to offer insight to his or her students.” Or a parent, intentionally engaging with their child, about an issue that arises in the moment.
Teachable moments happen more often when a growing relationship occurs with a group of students. The more you get to know them, the more teachable moment opportunities arise.
